REAL VERSION ABOUT THE DEATH OF JULIUS BERGER ANOTHER

Julius Berger is a name that is popular to lots of Nigerians especially those that reside in Lagos. He was born in Germany, and he learnt a lot about building before he started his own construction company. It was reported that Julius Berger came into Nigeria in August 1965. One of his works in Nigeria was the Eko bridge. The most popular among the bridges he constructed in Nigeria was the 3rd mainland bridge which he constructed in Lagos.

There was a 2nd mainland bridge, and Julius Berger constructed it in Onitsha. One of the popular rumors that was linked to his death was shared and widely believed by many. It was claimed that one of the bridges that Julius Berger was constructing was collapsing, and this was beginning to trouble him. The event of the bridge collapse was believed to repeat itself for months. It was later revealed to Julius Berger that it was as a result of a river called the Aye river that he encountered what he was going through.

He was then advised to ask for help from the gods of the river, and it was later revealed to him that his life was required for the successful completion of the bridge.

However, this rumor was discredited by a man known as Pa Ogunsanya who is a prince. It was claimed that the prince in the person of Pa Ogunsanya witnessed the death of Julius Berger. Pa Ogunsanya gave a different account of the reason that led to the death of Julius Berger.

He revealed that Julius Berger had a disagreement with his wife who in the course of the argument called him infertile. It was reported by the prince that Berger went to see his wife’s father to report her to him, but didn’t see the man at the time he went to look for him. He then went over to the Baale’s house who happened to be Pa Ogunsanya’s father. He was annoyed when he left the Baale’s house and he drove off in a car. It was later discovered that he crashed into a big tree and lost his life as a result.

It was then recorded that Julius Berger was buried by the side of the tree. This particular place is currently located at the center of the market in Itokin. Hence, this appears to be the real reason leading to the death of the great engineer.
